So I got an owl at breakfast today from my ex-girlfriend. I'm sure a good number of you remember Marisa Grey; she was a Ravenclaw, graduated two years ago. She and I dated for two years, broke up a while back, but we're still really good friends.
Anyroad, she wrote to me today to tell me that she's getting married this summer. I've met her boyfriend, and he's a good sort; they'll have a good life together. She also asked me if I'd be best man in the wedding. Now, I'm far from an expert on wedding etiquette, but isn't having an ex in the wedding party kind of weird? I just don't want to put anybody in an uncomfortable situation. I mean, she and I were each other's first loves, and there was a time when we were sure that we were the ones that were going to get married one day. But it didn't work out, and we're still best friends, and I know it'd mean a lot to her if I accepted. So...I don't know.
